Lisa Patterson

Project Lead, Designer II

Lisa Patterson joined RBA in 2020 with a background rooted in community-driven design and a strong commitment to architecture that supports both people and place. With a deep appreciation for the landscapes of the Pacific Northwest and a thoughtful, hands-on approach, Lisa brings technical skill, curiosity, and heart to every project.

Originally from Cincinnati, Lisa earned her Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kentucky and a Master of Architecture from Portland State University. Her time at PSU was shaped by four years of immersive work in community-engaged design, research, and education—including the design and build of Hygiene4All’s first Houseless Hygiene Hub on the SE waterfront.

At RBA, Lisa has contributed to a wide range of residential projects with clarity and creativity, helping bring clients’ visions to life through a balanced focus on design integrity and livability. Whether she’s developing design concepts or coordinating construction details, Lisa brings care and precision to each phase of a project. Her design process is informed by both a strong technical foundation and a deep respect for the people and environments she designs for.

Outside the studio, Lisa spends as much time as possible exploring the mountains, beaches, and trails of the Pacific Northwest with her family—and her energetic corgi, Sugar, who keeps her life joyfully on the move. Her love of the outdoors continues to inspire her work, grounding her architectural perspective in connection, resilience, and a sense of place.
