Marisol Mejia, AIA | NOMA PDX

Project Architect

Marisol joined RBA in 2026, bringing more than a decade of experience leading projects from concept through completion. Her background in bespoke architectural interiors includes work for nationally recognized brands and institutions, where she guided complex projects from vision to execution while collaborating with diverse teams of designers, consultants, and craftspeople.

Prior to joining RBA, Marisol worked at a multidisciplinary design practice in Los Angeles, collaborating closely with landscape architects, environmental graphic designers, and furniture specialists. This collaborative environment shaped her holistic approach to design and strengthened her appreciation for the many disciplines that contribute to meaningful, well-crafted spaces.

A California native, Marisol earned her Bachelor of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc). Drawn to the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, she relocated to Portland with her family in 2024. While renovating her own home, she discovered a passion for residential design and made the decision to focus her career on creating thoughtful, personalized homes

Marisol is drawn to architecture that emerges from its site, climate, and inhabitants. She believes the most enduring spaces are those that feel deeply connected to both place and daily life. For Marisol, meaningful architecture is shaped through the testing of ideas, careful observation, and an openness to inspiration from unexpected sources. She values a collaborative process where the strongest design solutions often emerge through shared perspectives and a deep understanding of how people live.

Outside the studio, Marisol can often be found tackling DIY home projects with her spouse and young son or exploring the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest.

Recent Projects include: Walton Residence, Cully multi-dwelling development, Riverside Addition and Sherwood Residence.
