After a decade living in the 1965 house by a celebrated Pacific Northwest architect, the pair tasked Risa Boyer Architecture with reconfiguring a few of its common spaces—which went a long way in rejuvenating the residence.
We’re honored to see our recent Tangent Renovation project featured in Dwell Magazine.
This project was especially meaningful because it gave us the opportunity to thoughtfully restore and reimagine a 1965 home originally designed by John Storrs, one of the defining voices of Northwest Modern architecture. His work continues to inspire us with its deep connection to landscape, natural materials, and timeless sense of place.
Our role was never to reinvent the house. Instead, we worked to understand its original intent, preserve what made it extraordinary, and carefully adapt it for contemporary life. Every decision was guided by respect for the home’s architectural legacy.
