Amelia Best, Associate AIA

Designer

Amelia joined Risa Boyer Architecture in 2024, bringing a multidisciplinary background in architecture, historic preservation, and hands-on craft. She has worked on preservation projects in remote settings and contributed to the fabrication of a public installation. Additionally, she has taught architecture students woodshop fundamentals and sustainability-focused design, helping them integrate fabrication and environmental analysis into their work.

Originally from Seattle, Amelia earned her BA in Architectural Design from the University of Washington. She has contributed to a variety of project types, including residential, hospitality, and public spaces. Outside the studio, Amelia enjoys spending time with her cat Tulip, knitting, sewing, and biking around beautiful Portland, Oregon.
